Policy Advocacy
The NJCEA advocates for public policies that advance equity in New Jersey’s cannabis industry. We engage with the regulator, Legislature, and other key stakeholders to advocate for equitable policies.
Equity Initiatives
We support and promote initiatives, organizations, and programs that focus on equity within the cannabis industry. This includes providing funding, resources, and strategic guidance to projects that align with our mission of creating an inclusive and fair cannabis market in New Jersey.

The mission of the NJCEA is to assess issues impacting the cannabis industry through the lens of equity, to build consensus among critical stakeholders, and to advance related public policy.

Historically underrepresented groups
Communities that have been disproportionately affected by the War on Drugs.
Individuals who have been adversely impacted by the criminalization of cannabis.
Certain classes of NJ Cannabis Licensees such as: Social Equity, Diversely-Owned, Microbusiness, and Impact Zone Businesses.
Medical cannabis patients.
Cannabis industry workforce.
